Important Steps

Congratulations on being accepted to speak at FOCUS 09. Now that your topic has been selected, there are a number of important steps that you must take to secure your speaking slot, such as making travel arrangements, registering for the conference, and more.

1. Register for the conference.
FOCUS 09 presenters should complete their online complimentary registration as soon as possible. See the Speaker Registration page for details.

2. Review the Speaker Deadlines and Guidelines.
This information will provide details on important deadlines, as well as general content guidelines concerning your presentation. These guidelines will assist you in crafting your presentation, offering general information on conference messaging and potential points of emphasis.

3. Make Travel and Hotel Arrangements.
To secure affordable rates to Las Vegas, be sure to make your travel arrangements well in advance of your trip. The Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino is offering special discounted rates to conference attendees. Visit the FOCUS Accommodations page for details. Space is limited, so secure your accommodations early.

4. Use the FOCUS 09 Presentation Template.
When creating your presentation, be sure to use the official FOCUS 09 PowerPoint presentation template. Please note: If you are a panelist, you will be notified whether or not you need to create slides for your portion of the panel presentation. And remember: The final deadline to turn in your draft presentation is Tuesday, September 8. Your final presentation must be submitted no later than Tuesday, September 22.
